If you know an aspiring young musician or band, this could be their moment. Oswaldtwistle Mills and iMEP have joined forces to launch The iMEP Factor, an exciting new live music competition that could see you performing on the same stage as Sam Ryder and Clean Bandit at the iMEP Music Festival on Saturday 20th September!
If you’re 21 or under and either a solo singer or part of a band, this is your chance to shine. Enter now for the chance to perform in front of a live audience on Saturday, 30th August, during the annual St Paul’s Scouts Family Fun Day at Oswaldtwistle Mills. Ten finalists will take to the stage between 1:30 PM and 4 PM, and one standout act will earn the ultimate prize: a performance slot on the main stage at one of the region’s biggest music festivals.
The competition will be held on a brand-new outdoor stage—kindly sponsored by Earl Transport—offering young talent the perfect platform to showcase their sound. It’s all part of a fun-filled day featuring family activities, games, and entertainment for all ages.
How to enter:
Email a video of your performance to [email protected].
Microphones and sound equipment will be provided—just bring your instruments and your A-game.
The ten finalists will be chosen by representatives from iMEP and Oswaldtwistle Mills from all the entries submitted, and there are already lots of entries, so make sure you’ve emailed your entry in before the closing date of 31 May!
Nick Pitman, Managing Director of Oswaldtwistle Mills, said: “We love hosting the Scouts’ Family Fun Day—it’s always a brilliant atmosphere and this year, we’re adding something special by giving young performers a real shot at the spotlight. We’ve had loads of entries already from all different genres, and we’re looking forward to seeing them!”
Eddy O’Brien, CEO of iMEP, added:
“We’re passionate about championing young talent. Giving someone the chance to share a stage with Clean Bandit is what this is all about—we can’t wait to see what these performers bring.”
Ready to take the stage? Don’t miss out—entries close soon!
